CATbaret! presented by World’s Best Cat Litter, the biggest celebrity driven, animal rescue charity musical wound down its fifth year raising nearly $60,000 for the homeless cats of Los Angeles. The full house at the Avalon Theater was mewing for more after being entertained by their favorite celebrities with song, dance and cat themed belly laughs.
The money raised goes to local Los Angeles feral cat rescue Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats, who produces this sponsored annual event pledging that every dollar raised goes directly to animal programs. This year’s sponsors included World’s Best Cat Litter, By Nature, Bayer Animal Health, Nature’s Variety and Pioneer Pets.
This year’s singing and dancing in the name of the cats included the legendary Fred Willard; Elaine Hendrix (FX’s “Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll”); Jaime Ray Newman (ABC’s “Mind Games”); Keith David (NBC’s “Community”); Nicole Sullivan (Fox’s “Family Guy”); Fred Stoller (CBS’s “Everybody Loves Raymond”); Lori Alan (Pixar’s Inside Out); Keith Harrison (FOX’s “American Idol”); Hal Sparks (Disney’s “Lab Rats”); choreographers Tabitha and Napoleon, Doriana Sanchez and the So You Think You Can Dance dancers and more! Other celebrity attendees included Addison Riecke (Nick’s “The Thundermans”); Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy); Frank DeCaro (Sirius Radio host and author, The Dead Celebrity Cookbook); Matty Cardarople (Jurassic World); BET’s “The Westbrooks”; Jeff V. Parise (ABC’s “General Hospital”); Matt Raimo (“The OC Club”); Carmine Giovinazzo (“CSI NY”) and comedian Jo Anne Worley; with Katie Cleary(“Deal or No Deal”) interviewing celebrities on the red carpet.
