Dr. Ken Tudor is a recognized expert and leader in the field of pet nutrition and fitness. He co-founded a national campaign to help fight dog obesity, developed a pet weight management program, and served on the American Animal Hospital Association task force to develop their Weight Management Guidelines for Dogs and Cats. Dr. Tudor shares this information with pet owners as a contributor to the “Daily Vet” blog at www.petMd.com.
Dr. Tudor regularly presents his research findings at speaking engagements to the public, veterinary colleagues and students as well as in notable veterinary journals, including Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Veterinary Nutrition, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the California Veterinary Medical Association. He is a former professor at California Polytechnic University, Pomona, and Mt. San Antonio College Veterinary Technology Program in California. He has graduate training in exercise physiology and sports nutrition from California Polytechnic University in Pomona and earned his DVM from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
Drawing upon more than 30 years of experience in pet nutrition and fitness, Dr. Tudor has recently developed an integrated feeding system called Hearthstone Homemade Program for Dogs. This program features normal and hypoallergenic, easy-to-make recipes and uniquely formulated nutrients, that combined, provide balanced canine nutrition and promote optimum health at a per-serving price equal to premium commercial dog foods.
Dr. Tudor is also working on two new books: Basic Dog and Puppy Care: the little manual that takes a big bite out of the cost of owning dogs; and Basic Cat and Kitten Care: the little manual that takes a bite out of the cost of owning a cat.
