Pet World Insider speaks with Erin Kaufman from Erin’s Pet Sitting and Care Services. Erin also writer for the Riverside Examiner. She joins us on this episode to speak about petiquette issues as summer is upon us and we head to gatherings and parks with our dogs.
About Erin:
My name is Erin and, aside from growing up in a house full of various animals, I have 3 pound puppies of my own and 4 years of professional experience working with animals. My experience around animals has helped me learn that every animal has a unique personality and unique needs. My love for these amazing creatures has led me to a career working with them and I wish to create happier, healthier lives for both the pet and pet parent.
Background:
Growing up I helped care for rabbits, cats, dogs, hamsters, rats, various birds (wild & domestic), an iguana, reptiles, and of course, fish. More recently, I had the pleasure of managing a dog daycare and boarding facility in Anaheim. Working with dogs full time has taught me a lot about pack mentality, positive reinforcement training, and reading dog body language.
Qualifications:
I am an active member in the pet community. I enjoy regularly participating in events that bring progress and enrich the lives of all pets. I am a member of and insured by Pet Sitter’s Associates (PSA). I am certified in pet first-aid and CPR as well as pet massage. I am also the Riverside Dog Examiner, writing weekly articles for Examiner.com as well as for my own blog, “Enriching Your Dog’s Life”.
i always enjoy coming back to this blog for posts/shows like this.
