Planet Paws mission began after its team was personally effected by the melamine scandal. Rodney had rarely looked into what he was feeding his pet, resting assured that their nutrition was well balanced with ingredients like the succulent beef and fresh vegetables displayed prominently on the label. When word of the melamine scandal reached him, he, like many others, believed his pet wouldn’t be affected by such horrible things for his food claimed to be healthy. Several vet visits later, he realized that the food he`d been offering his furry friends was no better than low grade scraps of wasted material. Upon further investigation, his life and the life of his pets changed drastically. Traveling across country, he visited and spoke with numerous pet food professionals, factories, and local farms deciphering through the mass amounts of information newly available to him. After 6 years of researching, investigating, and deciphering the mass produced foods available, he has brought his expertise to our local community.
