Bringing Christmas to Shelter Dogs – And Making an 8 Year Old’s Dream Come True‏

Project Blue Collar has been running Holiday Toy Drive with Jolly Pets since Black Friday.  We had chosen two shelters per week as recipients of the toys.  We had four ‘bonus’ days (12/22-25) that we didn’t have filled and weren’t sure what to do with them.  That is until one of our followers told us about a project her daughter started, Love a Pup Help a Pup.  We knew immediately we wanted to work with her and help her mission.
Love a Pup, Help a Pup was started by 8 year old, 3rd grader Natalie Peebles after she found out that shelter dogs don’t really have a Christmas.  She cried, ran to her room and came back out with this idea.  She told her mom she wanted to start Love a Pup Help a Pup and collect needed items for shelter dogs to make their Christmas a little brighter.  Her mom cried and said “Let’s do it”.  It’s such an amazingly inspirational mission for such a young girl.
So, from 12/22-25th, all sales at Projectbluecollar.com will trigger a Jolly Pets toy donation to Love a Pup, Help a Pup!  Every order will include a thank you note from the dog who is receiving the toy!  We are asking everyone to post on social media using #DogGotToy and #LoveaPupHelpaPup
Spread the word and help us make Natalie’s dream come true.
